Dear Paul:

With this letter to you, I am giving notice to the Conservative Party of Canada that I will kick start my personal campaign across Canada that all non-Tamil Sri Lankan Canadians, and the moderate Tamil Canadians who are against LTTE violence and extortion and seeking reconciliation, not to vote for the Conservative Party at the next Federal Election. And I mean business.

I was in shock and so did the others feel let down who have supported the Conservative Party during the last two elections after reading the news item by-lined Andrew Moran in the Examiner on January 16, 2011 which said – “Public officials help welcome National Council of Canadian Tamils office. The National Council of Canadian Tamils (NCCT) Chairman, Mohan Ramakrishnan, and Member of Parliament, Paul Calandra, took part in the traditional cutting of the ribbon..” at the launch of the official NCCT office in Northern Toronto, at 3510 Finch Avenue East, Unit 10, Saturday (15 January 2011).

And what is regrettable was that, from what I gather you were the only Federal politician who attended the event. No Liberals and no NDPiers. How come Paul? Let me confirm that I will not be voting for the Conservatives at the next federal election and will not drop my pennies as from today into the Conservative Election readiness coffers, however small they have been in the past. You have sold the Conservative soul for the Tamil votes and Tamil Tiger tainted funds in the Greater Toronto Area, and I hope you will regret this move now and who ever in your caucus who pressured you to attend this ribbon cutting ceremony.

Paul, I know that you won your seat at the last election from the Liberals by only 545 votes and naturally worried in case you are toppled the next time around. And with these shenanigans, it is very likely you will be toppled. That does not give you the right to encourage the Tamil Tigers to regroup in Canada and make trouble for Sri Lanka with renewed terrorism.

I have told you before and I will tell you again that all facts out there about The National Council of Canadian Tamils (NCCT) which prides itself as a grassroots organization, lead me to believe that this organization is a proxy of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE aka Tamil Tigers) and is secretly working to reestablish and resurrect the Tamil Tiger terrorists.

All facts, I said, and here they are, and I know that you and your Conservative caucus are aware of it too, especially Minister Jason Kenney.

The NCCT has deliberately adapted in its logo the poisonous lily which is the symbolic flower of the LTTE. This flower has no relevance to the Tamil community at large nor represent the life in their adopted home, Canada. This poisonous lily was introduced by the LTTE in 1991 to remember their fallen comrades and it is the floral emblem of their mythical mono-ethnic, racist Tamil state, Eelam. Thus it is valid to argue that the mandate of the NCCT is that of the LTTE, the Tamil Tigers.

The NCCT’s objective #8 refers “To advocate and raise awareness on the principles articulated by the Tamil-community through the December 19, 2009 referendum. The mandate of that referendum was an oath, “I aspire for the formation of the independent and sovereign state of Tamil Eelam in the north and east territory of the island of Sri Lanka on the basis that the Tamils in the island of Sri Lanka make a distinct nation, have a traditional homeland and have the right to self-determination.”

The NCCT’s objective #7 refers – “to build war memorials in Canada for those LTTE terrorist who died in the battle and assign dates for memorials.”

Question that I throw at you and the Conservative caucus is, are you lot prepared to provide a piece of crown land, perhaps in Markham or Scarborough, to build these war memorials to the most notorious terrorist outfit in the world?

Paul, any fool will agree that the sole purpose of the NCCT is to carry out the agenda of the LTTE and the World Tamil Movement (WTM) and acting as their proxy. And you have got sucked into this Sri Lanka-destroying trap. How so, Paul? Are you nuts? And you go and cut the ribbon to officially open the NCCT office in Northern Toronto. How so, Paul? Well, you got much to answer to your non-Tamil Sri Lankan Canadians and the moderate Tamil-Canadian voters who resent the Tamil Tigers. Speak out Paul, I/we want to hear your motives and the policy of the Conservative Party regards your support for the Tamil Tiger proxy, the NCCT in Canada.

Your participation in the ribbon cutting ceremony of the office of the NCCT, the proxy LTTE outfit, has now established that the Conservatives are now bedding with the Tamil Tigers. I see why Paul, as the Conservative marriage partner has brought with them millions of dollars as a dowry. When the two illegal human smuggling LTTE ships brought 568 illegal Tamil migrants to Canada, that operation brought in at least 28 million dollars into their coffers, of which one wonders whether some of that money hopped across wallets to support the Conservative election funds. In such an awkward marriage between the Conservatives and the NCCT, every thing is possible. Don’t you find it contradictory that the Conservatives who banned the Tamil Tiger terrorists in April 2006 is now playing hanky-panky openly cutting ribbons to ceremonially inaugurate their offices.

Did you ever wonder why the Liberal Party parliamentarians are avoiding any participation in the activities of the NCCT like a plague?Hmmm! I am curious, aren’t you?

And by the way, how did you feel having two prominent LTTEiers hob-knobbing and brushing shoulders with you, the Conservative MP for Oak Ridge-Markham at the event. According to a Tamil web site the two prominent LTTEiers were Anton S. Philip and Nehru Gunaratnam.

Anton S. Philip is a member of the LTTE, and as a Roman Catholic priest, he was involved in the Neerveli Bank robbery in 1981. He was jailed but escaped to India from a Batticaloa jail break in 1985. According to D.B.S. Jeyaraj, a well-known and respected Tamil journalist, Nehru Gunaratnam is a member of the LTTE’s political sub-committee who was directly appointed by the LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran as his man in Canada. I thought I better just ask you, Paul, in case you have an opinion.

Well, Paul Calandra, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Oak Ridges-Markham, you have much explanation to do to Conservative voters. The opportunity has arrived to speak now or forever hold your peace, with those who have not yet decided to vote for the Conservatives or not. I have made up my mind, having been a member of your party since the days of yore, when Preston Manning was heading the Reformers and Art Hanger was my mentor.

Good Luck to you Paul at the next election. My crystal ball prediction is that you will have a rough Himalaya to climb having made that stupid move whether you were pressured to attend the event or not.
