Four new projects implemented in kilinochchi & Mulathivu districts will be peoplized.

Four new projects which were constructed by expending an amount over Rs.5000 lacks that assists for the livelihood development, health facilities and drinking water required for the resettled people in kilinochchi and Mulathivu Districts were peoplized by Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development. Pandiyamkulam irrigation scheme of Mulathivu District constructed by expending an amount of Rs. 1985 lacks and Mallavi irrigation scheme constructed by expanding an amount of Rs.1922 lacks were declared open by Hon. Minister yesterday morning.

Northern people were released from the brutal terrorism prevailed throughout 30 years, under the government by taking the lead of his Excellency the president Mahinda Rajapaksa and they said with pleasure and prestigious concerning the freedom and development received to them.

People said with us that no difficulty is available to clearly understand those who oppose for the government for providing for Northern people to live.

Addressing the public meeting after declaring open the Mulathivu, Mallavi irrigation scheme, Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development said that the persons who interrupt for bringing, peace development and prosperity for northern people commenced to be heard grievances.

LTTE terrorism which deprived of the development progress, destroy of lives and properties of not only northern province but also the entire people of the country throughout 30 years, was defeated under the leadership of his Excellency the president Mahinda Rajapaksa similarly resources available in each party of the province was developed by the government. The persons who opposed to construct one road, bridge, and house become to be friends.

These people try to fall them in danger by speaking that heat the blood of the people. I ask the people not to be cheated for them. Security sector removed the landmines from feet to feet. Subsequently, those lands were provided for resettlement. After providing lands, new houses were constructed. Required all the things were provided from temporary house until rebuilds all the things.

We helped to win the lives through Tsunami disaster. Other than this, we gave strength for northern people to reawake after the war. We gave wonderful assistance for those who engage in agriculture, fisheries community and the small and medium scale enterprises. The persons who opposed to be provided for people acted to darken the lives of you and your children.

We are implementing the development of northern not expecting the votes. Yet you being received the benefits their in, should have the responsibility and right to accompany our programme with us and to give encourage us. We have to carry out all the activities including schools, hospitals, roads, electricity housing.

The programme initiated by us hasn’t been completed by now. We need your strength to carry out the remaining work to be done. Your child goes to school, and plays under the programme being implemented by us. Yet, the persons who cheat you fall you in danger by giving T 56 for your child. We assume that you accompany our programme by intelligently considering these things, said the minister.

Minister of industry and commerce Rizad Badurdeen, Mayor of Northern province, Major General chandrasiri, Secretary to    the ministry of water supply & Drainage Board including other officials of the ministry were present for this event.
