Canadian Tamils for Peace and Democracy (CaTpad) strongly Condemns the brutal suicide attack on civilians in refugee camps.

 The Canadian Tamils for Peace and Democracy denounces to the International community for murderous suicide attack of LTTE against its own Tamil civilians who fled form their clutches of the Wanni, during which more than 28 Srilankans lost their lives and 84 wounded in the Suthanthirapuram Transit camp. This criminal suicide strike against innocent civilians, against their own Tamil community who are now for months under terrorist as human shields, is one more proof for the inhuman and brutal Wanni regime. This Terror tactics of LTTE is only to stop the Tamil civilians coming in huge numbers to government-controlled areas whom are used as human shields. The war drive policy of LTTE is killing the Tamils in a slowly genocide fully supported and endorsed by the LTTE controlled Tamil Diasporas in Canada, the EU and rest of the world.

 The Candanian Tamils for Peace and Democracy calls upon all peace loving forces in the world to express their protest and condemnation against the LTTE regime, for the Injustice committed to its own Tamil people. This incident is a clear evident of the immoral character of the regime, which does not hesitate to use of dead Tamils for the international campaign to support a cease-fire to safe guard its Terrorist Leadership from military offensive. The so called political parties who supported the LTTE and joined hands in the protests and demonstrations in Canada, have never opened their mouth against this brutal killings shows the real nature of their respect to human lives. We call upon the Canadians to come out openly to raise their voices against these Terrorist elements operating in Canadian soil funding for a terrorist war in Srilanka. 

The Canadian Tamils for Peace and Democracy reaffirms its support to the Government of Srilanka, to whom we express our firm solidarity and call for unity and strong resistance against the terrorist until they are defeated. Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the families and to the people of Srilanka, All who seek to build and promote Peace, Freedom and Democracy in Srilanka share their loss. The only just and viable solution can come with the defeat of terrorist regime and brutal activities of the LTTE.
